Responsibilities

  • Build, scale, and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications for GulfPicasso’s AI platform.
  • Translate pixel-perfect Figma designs into elegant, production-ready UIs using Next.js (App Router) and Tailwind CSS.
  • Adopt an AI-first mindset, embedding AI and automation into product architecture, engineering workflows, and decision-making processes.
  • Ensure smooth performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Write clean, reusable, and testable code with a quality-focused mindset.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Contribute to shaping frontend architecture, design systems, and coding standards.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of frontend development experience with a proven track record of building and shipping products.
  • 4+ years of experience with React and 2+ years of experience with Next.js
  • Proven expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Good understanding of Next.js concepts such as SSR, CSR, SSG, and ISR, and when to apply each.
  • Ability to deliver pixel-perfect UIs from Figma or similar design tools.
  • Experience with Stripe payment platform.
  • Good knowledge with React Hook Form form library.
  • Deep passion for user experience and user interfaces with a detail-oriented, quality-driven approach.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with state management and client-side data handling patterns (REST and GraphQL).
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (eg: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
  • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Interest in or experience with AI, generative technologies, or creative tools.
  • Experience in mobile development (React Native or Flutter).
  • Familiarity with ShadCn design systems and component libraries.
  • Good knowledge with React Query data fetching library.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring, SEO optimization, and analytics for Next.js apps.
  • Experience deploying apps to Vercel or AWS
  • Experience working with Supabase (authentication, database, and APIs).
