We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer who is passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences and is excited to define the visual language of the next generation of AI-powered creative tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end user flows and high-fidelity interfaces for GulfPicasso’s AI platform, ensuring a seamless user journey from sign-up to generation.
  • Build, scale, and maintain a comprehensive Design System in Figma to ensure consistency across the product and speed up the engineering handoff process.
  • Adopt an AI-first mindset, designing intuitive workflows that make complex generative AI capabilities easy and delightful for users to use.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and user research to identify market trends, user pain points, and opportunities for innovation within the AI landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and frontend engineers to translate conceptual ideas into practical, production-ready designs.
  • Produce distinct graphic assets using Photoshop and Illustrator to support both the product interface and marketing initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and mentor junior designers to elevate the team's creative output.
  • Ensure the final product aligns with the design vision by conducting QA on implemented UIs.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Arabic is required to ensure our user interfaces accurately reflect regional nuances.
  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience with a proven track record of shipping complex products to production.
  • Expert fluency in Figma (auto-layout, components, variables, and prototyping).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for asset creation and image manipulation.
  • Deep experience in building and managing scalable Design Systems.
  • Solid experience conducting competitive analysis, usability testing, and user research to back up design decisions with data.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a mastery of layout, typography, color theory, and interaction design.
  • Ability to work iteratively and communicate design concepts clearly to stakeholders and developers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Deep passion for user experience with a detail-oriented, quality-driven approach.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge in video editing or motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere Pro) are a huge plus.
  • Interest in or experience with AI, generative technologies, or creative tools.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/ to facilitate smoother developer handoffs.
  • Experience designing for SaaS platforms or subscription-based services.
